Algebra 1: Graphing Functions using Calculator Based Ranger (CBR)

In a technology-based lesson, students learn how to use a CBR and learn how to match a distance-time graph. Students will analyze and interpret their rate of change and graphs of linear functions.

Algebra 1: Application of Line of Best Fit in Real-World Scenarios

In a Project-Based Instruction lesson, students answer the driving question of, "How does climate change impact natural disasters?" within three days. The objective is for students to apply knowledge of the line of best fit to predict the number of natural disasters that will occur in the year 2030.

Upper-Level Math:

How Math is Represented in History

In this interdisciplinary lesson that combines history and math, students explore different forms of art and create a project on how their art form relates to a topic of math. This was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night painting, can you notice the math in this painting? Click below to find out!
